Sebastian grabbed the other man, losing his balance and sending them both tumblingthe floor. In a split-second a bullet had lodged itself quite firmly into the attacker’s skull. The sniper was still cursing inwardly, that man must have been suicidal. There was no other reason he would shoot at Jim with Sebastian pointing a gun at him. It was ridiculous.
It was two years later when Jim nonchalantly mentioned that he’d paid the supposed attacker £2000 to shoot him, guaranteeing that he wouldn’t be killed. Naturally, Jim had retrieved the money from the corpse afterwards.
Sebastian couldn’t help but wonder how things would have been if he’d known that little fact, perhaps he could have prepared himself for the trials that were to come. Somehow he doubted it.
((sorry it’s a little short, my mind’s a bit frazzled. Feel free to send more prompts))
